Abstract:
Imam Hussein's mourning ceremony has always played a great role in the history of social and political developments of the Islamic community among people, and this is due to the great potential hidden in the Ashura movement. Therefore, the hypothesis coming to mind is that, as a common style of mourning for Imam Hussein's martyrdom, Heyats can act as a holy public sphere today. Therefore, the present research deals with the philosophy, nature, and quality of Heyat as a holy public sphere. This research has used the concept of "public sphere" by Jürgen Habermas. Using "theme analysis" method and interview, the "Tharallah Heyat" of Zanjan city was selected as the study sample. According to the results of the research, the "western public sphere" is the opposite of "holy public sphere" which is based on revealed rationality and divine values. Believers call each other to the divine values based on wilayat-based acts of kindness and love. Wilayat-based actions include not only rationality, but also emotions and feelings; it is not only limited to verbal action, but also includes non-verbal action. Through "verbal action" (that is, using the capacity of eulogy and speech) and "non-verbal action" including social activities in the path of seeking justice, claiming and removing deprivation, Heyat can play a significant role in the formation of public opinions and influencing the social structure.
