Abstract:
One of the important cultural-social topics is achieving justice in society. Justice theories are divided into two categories known as the "transcendent institution-oriented" and "reality-oriented" or "people-oriented" perspectives. This research investigates which of these views is compatible with Imam Khomeini's view. It holds that according to Imam Khomeini, the realization of justice as a social matter is one of the goals of the prophets and a human desire. From his point of view, just as the conflict over the realization of justice in the society is the driving force of history and societies, the stability and survival of the society depends on the establishment of justice. In his view, the realization of social justice boils down to people; that is, in order to establish social justice, people's abilities must be developed, and the result of this realization must end in the good and benefit of people. Contrary to the transcendent institution-centered view that focuses on official institutions in the realization of justice, Imam Khomeini does not regard institutions as independent and considers them as structures that show human characteristics and are either for developing human capacities or institutional forms of human efforts to establish justice in society. To prove this claim, three conceptual discussions of "justice", "levels and arenas of justice" and "justice realization strategies" have been studied.
