Human beings, as extraordinary creatures and God’s vicegerents on earth, require knowledge that ensures their guidance and perfection. Among these, the humanities hold a central place, as they examine the dimensions of human behavior and existence while also serving as the theoretical foundation for the Islamic model of development. Rooted in Islamic values, the humanities play a vital role in the formation of a new Islamic civilization. The central issue of this study is to define the nature of the humanities, the concept of Islamic humanities, and their role in shaping the Islamic model of progress. Employing a descriptive-analytical method, the research draws on the epistemological and theoretical bases of Islam. The findings reveal that Islamic humanities, grounded in revelation, reason, and experience, investigate human actions and provide a practical framework for guiding society. These sciences determine the principles and criteria upon which the model of Islamic progress is constructed. Thus, Islamic humanities not only serve as an applied tool for organizing individual and social life but also function as a theoretical and epistemological foundation, guaranteeing the advancement and flourishing of Islamic society within the framework of divine values and laws.
