Abstract:
The discussion on the characteristics of the Islamic lifestyle can be proposed at two levels: "abstract or lifestyle principles of " and the level of "concrete or obvious aspect of lifestyle". The obvious dimension of lifestyle includes objective and concrete representations that are reflected in everyday actions and interactions and can be measured; but the principles of lifestyle refer to larger and more abstract criteria that, in general, determine the totality of a living a life of faith or a life of atheism. In fact, what distinguishes the Islamic way of life from other lifestyles are the fundamental principles that, according to the Qur'an, form the sphere of "Hayate Tayyebe (goodly life)". Therefore, an important question arises as to what are the basic principles governing the Islamic way of life. Using descriptive-analytical methods, this study, which was conducted with the aim of examining the principles of the Qur'anic lifestyle, concluded that finding the flow of fundamental principles in the reality of daily life affects the faithful lifestyle differently from other common lifestyles; because disconnection from the sacred world, the domination of sensual desires over reason, false sense of autonomy, extreme formalism, and pervasive skepticism are at the heart of Western thought and lifestyle, whereas the ubiquitous presence of God, monotheism, Islamic law (sharia) as the framework of choices, self-knowledge or true cognition of man and the universe, fitra-orientedness and adherence to the laws raised from them form the basis of the Islamic lifestyle.
