    Abstract:
The issue of gender justice, as the focal point of confrontation between Islamic thought and feminist paradigms, has been subject to conceptual ambiguities and governance challenges. Aiming to elucidate the nature of gender justice and propose a model distinct from gender equality, this study addresses the following inquiry: Given the foundational differences between Islam and the West, how can an efficient model for the realization of gender justice be delineated? Employing a descriptive-analytical methodology alongside the “layered analysis” model, this study scrutinizes the foundational principles, core concepts, and strategic frameworks. The findings indicate that the primary opposition lies in the transition from Western “theology of descent” and “individualism” to Islamic “wise lordship” and “family-centeredness”. While Western strategies insist on “mechanical parity” and “equality of outcomes”—which lead to the weakening of the family institution—the Islamic model, relying on six macro-strategies including recourse to contemporary ijtihād, “structuring justice,” and “perception management,” defines justice around the axes of “entitlement” and “family expediency”. Furthermore, the study emphasizes that optimal governance necessitates bridging the gap between “actual justice” and “perceived justice” through explanatory and persuasive annexes.
