As the basic element of society, family plays an essential role in nurturing individuals and societies. Basically, a healthy society consists of a healthy family and a healthy family consists of healthy people. However, in most development programs in general and cultural development in particular, less attention has been paid to family. Using "documentary analysis" method, this article examines the role of family in cultural development based on Islamic teachings. The research findings show that family has a direct influence on all the indicators of cultural development (such as self-confidence, freedom of thought, equality before the law, learning, creativity, participation, negation of dominance, respect for the beliefs and opinions of others). Therefore, based on Islamic teachings, the position of family as one of the important social institutions in cultural development is very prominent. «توسعه فرهنگی» اساس توسعه و پیشرفت جامعه را تشکیل می دهد و هدف اصلی آن خوداتکایی فرد و جامعه است. خانواده به مثابه سلول بنیادی جامعه نقش اساسی در پرورش فرد و جامعه دارد. اصولاً جامعه سالم از خانواده سالم و خانواده سالم از افراد سالم تشکیل می گردد. با این حال، در بیشتر برنامه های توسعه به صورت کلی و توسعه فرهنگی به صورت خاص، به خانواده کمتر توجه شده است. این نوشتار با روش «تحلیل اسنادی» به بررسی نقش خانواده در توسعه فرهنگی براساس آموزه های اسلامی پرداخته است. یافته های تحقیق نشان می دهد که با توجه به شاخص های متعدد توسعه فرهنگی (نظیر اعتماد به نفس، آزادی اندیشه، تساوی در برابر قانون، علم آموزی، خلاقیت، مشارکت، نفی سلطه، احترام به عقاید و نظرات دیگران) خانواده در تمام آنها به صورت مستقیم تأثیر گذار است. ازاین رو براساس آموزه های اسلامی جایگاه خانواده به مثابه یکی از نهاد های مهم اجتماعی در توسعه فرهنگی بسیار برجسته است. https://marefatefarhangi.nashriyat.ir/sites/marefatefarhangi.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/8_0.pdf
