abstract = {Population is one of the key components of development that should be considered in all policies, strategies, and planning. It is inevitable, therefore, to recognize the population, growth, age and sex structure to reach a suitable population. Accordingly, it is necessary to analyze the position of the population in Islam and the Islamic system to adopt a proper approach in this arena in our country. Using a theoretical and analytical method, this paper seeks to analyze the importance of population in Islam and the Islamic system. The verses of the Holy Qur’an and narrations in terms of population can be classified into several categories including, advising marriage and childbearing, encouragement to marry with a woman who can have many children, guaranteeing the sentence of individuals, prohibition of abortion, the importance of increasing the number of Muslims population. Based on the religious teachings, increasing the population, is the first and general rule in this respect, as Islam and all revealed religions asks their follower to increase the number of faithful and dignified population.

abstract_fa ={جمعیت از جمله مؤلفه های اصلى توسعه و پیشرفت هر کشوری است که باید همه‌ی سیاست ها، راهبردها و برنامه‏ریزى‏ها بر اساس آن صورت ‏گیرد. ازاین‏رو، شناخت اندازه‌ی جمعیت، رشد، ساختار سنى و جنسى و رسیدن به یک جمعیت متناسب امرى اجتناب‏ناپذیر است. ازاین رو، ارائه تحلیلی از جایگاه جمعیت در اسلام و نظام اسلامی، و اتخاذ رویکرد مناسب در این عرصه در کشور امری ضروری است. این پژوهش با رویکرد نظری و تحلیلی، درصدد واکاوی جایگاه جمعیت در اسلام و نظام اسلامی است. یافته های پژوهش حاکی از این است آیات و یا روایات در مقوله‌ی جمعیت را می توان در چند مقوله دسته بندی کرد: توصیه به ازدواج و فرزندآوری، تشویق به ازدواج با زنان ولود، تضمن رزق و روزی افراد، توبیخ فرزندکشی، تشویق به افزایش نسل مسلمانان. ازآنجایی که در منابع دینی به صورت مستقیم و یا غیرمستقیم بر محبوبیت فرزندآوری و تکثیر نسل تأکید و به آن توصیه شده، اصل اولی و به عنوان یک قاعده کلی در متون دینی، فزونی جمعیت است. ازاین رو، اسلام و همه‌ی ادیان آسمانی، پیروان خود را به افزایش جمعیت با ایمان و شایسته در حد توان توصیه می کند.},
