This study tries to respond to a part of this problem by using the approach of futurology and resting on the method of "exploring the historical horizon" of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In the history of every nation, identifying the horizons contributes to considering and determining the future of the nation. In the conflict between the active approach and passive approach to the phenomenon of the appearance of Imam Mahdi, the Islamic Republic of Iran opted for the active approach that led to the historical development of its nation and the outbreak of the Islamic Revolution. Showing perseverance and raising self-awareness of this historical futurology, Islamic revolution could outline its version as a ground-preparing civilization by determining its bright future i.e. continuous evolution which paves the way for the appearance of Imam Mahdi. امروزه بازطرح موضوع «تمدن اسلامی» در گفتمان و ادبیات انقلاب اسلامی ایران بر چه واقعیت تاریخی و عینی استوار است؟، به دغدغه علمی تبدیل شده است. این پژوهش، می کوشد بخشی از این مسئله را با رویکرد آینده پژوهی و مبتنی بر روش «افق شناسی تاریخی» ایران اسلامی پاسخ دهد. در تاریخ هر ملتی، شناسایی افق ها، راه گشای بررسی و ترسیم آینده آن ملت خواهد بود. ملت ایران با ترسیم افق مهدوی، خود را در مسیر تکامل تاریخی قرار می‫دهد که به تمدنی زمینه ساز ظهور می انجامد. ایران اسلامی در کشاکش نگاه فعال و منفعل پدیده ظهور، نگاه فعال را برگزید و این نگاه، رشد تاریخی ملت ایران را تا تحقق انقلاب اسلامی به همراه داشت. انقلاب اسلامی نیز با تداوم و خودآگاهی بخشی به این افق گزینی تاریخی، توانست با ترسیم آینده مطلوب خود، یعنی تکامل پیوسته و زمینه ساز ظهور به آینده  محتمل آن با عنوان تمدن زمینه ساز دست یابد. https://marefatefarhangi.nashriyat.ir/sites/marefatefarhangi.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/7_5.pdf
