Due to the various dimensions of this word, the two meanings of leisure have been studied or its different aspects are worth investigating. Owing to their axiological status, educational capacities and mission, divine religions, including Islam pay attention to the prescriptive, contingent and normative aspects of the word. One of the ways of understanding the positions of Islamic texts is to refer to the views of the thinkers who have dealt with the position of religion on this topic and the related injunctions according to Islamic law and commentary of the Qur’an. Referring to the works of Muslim thinkers on different fields, this paper seeks to make explicit and classify the general topics about these positions. This research uses a categorical method in gathering the information and an explanatory, interpretative and independent reasoning-based method in analyzing the findings. فراغت اغلب به دو معنای «زمان فارغ از هر نوع وظایف الزامی» و «مجموعه ای از فعالیت ها و اشتغالات سرگرم کننده، تفریحی و تفننی که در این ظرف زمانی کانون توجه قرار می گیرند»، به کار می رود. «فراغت» در هر دو معنا، به دلیل تنوع ابعاد از زوایای مختلفی مطالعه و بررسی شده یا سزاوار بررسی است. ادیان الهی از جمله اسلام به اقتضای جایگاه ارزشی، ظرفیت های آموزه ای، رسالت و مأموریت، به جنبه های تجویزی، دستوری و هنجاری آن عطف توجه کرده اند. یکی از مجاری فهم مواضع درون متنی اسلام، رجوع به دیدگاه های اندیشمندانی است که در مقام تشریع و تفسیر مواضع دین در نسبت با این مقوله و احکام مربوط سخن گفته اند. این نوشتار درصدد است تا با تتبع در آثار و مکتوبات متفکران مسلمان از حوزه های مختلف، رئوس کلی این مواضع را استخراج و دسته بندی کند. روش این مطالعه در مقام گردآوری اطلاعات، اسنادی و در مقام تحلیل یافته ها، تفهمی، تفسیری و اجتهادی است. https://marefatefarhangi.nashriyat.ir/sites/marefatefarhangi.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/5_4.pdf
