abstract = {Ekhwan al-Saffa and Khollan al-wafa are among the most important Muslim groups which considered the issue of the classification of the science. Ekhwan al-Saffa sought to make a fundamental ideological change in the society and pave the way for man’s felicity. This group has left more than fifty epistles about the different fields of knowledge and culture which is an indication of their important contribution to the prosperity of Islamic culture. The way of arranging the topics and the epistles which makes this work look very similar to a philosophical-scientific encyclopedia, is one of the most important sources of inferring higher classification according to Ekhwan al-Saffa. Besides this classification which is arranged according to the hierarchical nature of sciences, another classification which is greatly different from that of the epistles is mentioned in the seventh epistle of this set of epistles below the one entitled “On Scientific Industries and their Purpose”. This paper, describing these kinds of two classifications, seeks to explain Ekhwan al-Saffa’s view about and their role in the classification of Islamic sciences.

abstract_fa ={در میان مسلمانان اِخوان الصّفا و خُلّان الوَفا، یکی از مهم ترین گروه هایی هستند که به موضوع طبقه بندی علوم توجه ویژه داشتند. هدف اخوان الصفا، ایجاد تحول فکری و بنیادی در جامعه بود تا از آن طریق، انسان ها را به سعادت برسانند. از این گروه بیش از پنجاه رساله در زمینه های گوناگون دانش و فرهنگ به جای مانده است که نمایانگر سهم قابل توجه ایشان در رشد و شکوفایی فرهنگ اسلامی باشد. چینش موضوعات و تربیب این رسائل که شباهت بسیارى به یک دایرة المعارف فلسفی- علمى دارد، یکی از مهم ترین منابع برای استخراج طبقه بندی مطلوب علوم از نگاه اخوان الصفا است. در کنار این طبقه بندی که بر اساس ماهیت سلسله مراتبی علوم به سامان آمده، در رساله هفتم این مجموعه رسائل و ذیل رساله «فی الصنائع العلمیه و الغرض منها»، طبقه بندی دیگری از علوم مطرح شده که با طبقه بندی به دست آمده از ترتیب رساله ها تفاوت فراوانی دارد. این مقاله می کوشد ضمن شرح دوگانگی این دو طبقه بندی، به تبیین دیدگاه و نقش اخوان الصفا در دسته بندی علوم اسلامی بپردازد.},
