abstract = {The present paper examines the short and long term relationship between the growth in the percentage of different age groups of population and economic growth in a dynamic model of Iran's economy.  Therefore, bound test procedure is used to examine the existence of long term relationship, and autoregressive distributed lag model and error checking model are used to estimate the long term and short term coefficients of examined models, respectively. The results obtained from the analysis of relationships and significance of coefficients indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between the percentage growth of population- the group ranging from 15 to 64 years old- and economic growth in Iran.

abstract_fa ={اين نوشتار به بررسي ارتباط کوتاه‌مدت و بلندمدت ميان رشد درصد گروه‌هاي سني مختلف جمعيت و رشد اقتصادي در مدلي پويا از اقتصاد ايران مي‌پردازد؛ از همين‌رو، از رهيافت آزمون کرانه‌ها (Bound test) براي بررسي وجود ارتباط بلند‌مدت و نيز از الگوي خود‌رگرسيوني با وقفه¬هاي توزيعي(ARDL) و نيز مدل تصحيح خطا (ECM) به‌ترتيب، براي تخمين ضرايب بلندمدت و کوتاه‌مدت مدل‌هاي مورد بررسي، استفاده شده است. نتايج به‌دست‌آمده از تحليل روابط و ضرايب معناداري در مدل‌ها بيانگر وجود ارتباط مثبت و معنادار ميان رشد درصد جمعيت با بازة سني 15 تا 64 سال و رشد اقتصادي در ايران است.
