More population has more innovators and leads to higher population density given that the size of the earth is fixed; and this population density facilitates communications and exchanges, increases the size of markets and the possibility of their specialization and leads to more demands for innovations. All these factors encourage the creation and distribution of new technologies. Therefore, both population and population density reinforces the development of technology. The present paper seeks to analyze the effect of population and population density variables on technological changes in the provinces of Iran, is which the framework of Nachtmann and Clausen's Model is used. The model of econometrics is designed according to Nachtmann and Clausen's Model, which is estimated for 28 provinces of Iran during the period of 1380 to 1388 (2001-2009) using the method of dynamic panel data. The results obtained from the estimation of the model of econometrics indicate population and population density has a positive effect on technological changes in the provinces of Iran. جمعیت و چگالی جمعیت، یکی از متغیرهای اثرگذار بر تغییرات فناوری در مناطق است. جمعیت بیشتر، نوآوران بیشتری دربر دارد؛ همچنین با فرض ثابت بودن اندازه‌ی زمین، چگالی جمعیت بالاتری ایجاد می شود و این چگالی جمعیت نیز ارتباطات و مبادله را تسهیل می کند، اندازه‌ی بازارها و امکان تخصصی شدن آنها را افزایش می دهد و سبب افزایش تقاضا برای ابداعات می شود. همه‌ی این عوامل خلق و انتشار تکنولوژی های جدید را ترغیب می کند؛ بنابراین جمعیت و چگالی جمعیت هر دو توسعه‌ی تکنولوژی را تقویت می کنند. هدف این نوشتار، تحلیل تأثیر متغیر جمعیت و چگالی جمعیت بر تغییرات فنّاوری استان های ایران است و در آن از چارچوب مدل کلاسن و نستمن (2006) بهره گرفته می شود. الگوی اقتصاد سنجی بر اساس مدل کلاسن و نستمن طراحی شده است که برای 28 استان ایران طی دوره‌ی (1380-1388) با روش داده های تابلویی پویا برآورد می شود. نتایج به دست آمده از برآورد الگوی اقتصاد سنجی حاکی از تأثیر مثبت جمعیت و چگالی جمعیت بر تغییرات فنّاوری استان ها در ایران است. https://marefatefarhangi.nashriyat.ir/sites/marefatefarhangi.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/10250.pdf
