abstract = {Today, given the increase in the theoretical criticisms of positivistic approach, many scientists of social and human sciences emphasize on the qualitative methods of research instead of gathering quantitative data and statistical analyses. One of the widespread methods of qualitative research is critical discourse analysis. Philosophically, critical discourse analysis based on structuralism reduces reality into human structures by emphasising on human agency.  Referring to the logical requirements of structuralist foundations of critical discourse analysis, the present paper concludes that epistemologically this approach leads to relativism, sophistry and negation of cognition, axiological relativity, self-contradiction, refusal of truth and falsity, and refusal of ethics.

abstract_fa ={امروزه با افزایش انتقادهای نظری از رویکرد اثبات گرایی، بسیاری از دانشمندان علوم اجتماعی و انسانی به جای جمع آوری داده های کمّی و تحلیل های آماری، بر روش های کیفی تحقیق تأکید می ورزند. یکی از روش های بسیار رایج پژوهش های کیفی، تحلیل گفتمان انتقادی است. تحلیل گفتمان انتقادی، به لحاظ فلسفی مبتنی بر ساخت گرایی است که با تأکید بر عاملیت انسانی، واقعیت را به سازه های انسانی تقلیل می دهد. 
این نوشتار با اشاره به استلزامات منطقی مبانی سازه گرایانه‌ی تحلیل گفتمان انتقادی، به این نتیجه می رسد که این دیدگاه به لحاظ معرفت شناختی به نسبی گرایی، سفسطه و انکار شناخت، نسبیت ارزشی، خودمتناقض بودن، امتناع صدق و کذب، و امتناع اخلاق منجر می شود.},
